600 Seconds at Lunch - Open the dictionary and pick a word at random, write your journal entry about that word.

Loyal - firm in allegiance to a person, cause, country, party, etc., faithful; demonstrating unswerving allegiance.

This word always brings back memories of my lovely baby dog, Riz. She was my companion and confidante for 21 years and not once did she ever let me down. When my life was a royal bowl of cow poop, unlike a majority of my human so called friends, my Riz stayed with me. On those dark nights when I cried alone my faithful dog was there to lick my tears away. Riz was there through my bad times and also my good times. When I met Andy, Riz was the first to welcome him into our space and the first to make sure he was kissable. Being loyal means hanging in there when life is a crock of shit not just when the good times role. It is taking the rough with the smooth. OK Riz was a dog but I will always be grateful and honoured she was such a big part of my life.
