And Its Goodnight From Me - Little Nipper

Nipper is a cute kitten, soft furred, black and white. We had to hand rear Nipper and because of that he does not consider himself a cat. As far as Nipper is concerned I am his mummy and daddy is Andy.

Nipper has a wonderful character, very cheeky, maybe to the point of a brat at times, he is our baby so gets away with it.

Nipper started life being carried about and kept warm in a canvas bag. Feeding every two to three hours he went everywhere we did. Trips to the farm, Tesco's, town etc., were all part of his daily life.

Nipper is the only cat permitted in my studio and he often sits with me while I paint or write. If he thinks I am going out he's in my bag raring to go on a trip. Show him his cat reflection in a mirror and he does not recognise the cat.

Nipper is a very happy little chap, always purring and loves nothing more than sprawling out on his back, legs in the air for a belly rub or tickle. He prefers to eat from our plates than eating cat food with the other cats, he is not a cat so why would he eat with cats? We are trying to break that habit as its so not healthy for him.

Now we have Waya, Nobby and Nightmare Nipper is learning to play with other cats albeit smaller ones. He is developing a close relationship with Nightmare, who is also black and white so there is hope he will one day be a cat.
